Postcard Challenge - Card 2
Text:
"My Natalie,
They wanted me to go and see the bull fighting but I told them no.
I could not go and watch that and then come home and look you in the eye, knowing what I had seen. Not even for research or however they decided to call it.
I went to see Flamengo dancers instead, so I got my bit of culture for this trip.
Yours, M. "

Fabulous card, love this, is it watercolour and ink? gorgeous subdued colours, but the shadows still make them pop from the page. love it.
ReplyDeleteThe card looks like it may have been trampled a little itself. Great picture wonder where the story will go next?
ReplyDeletelove the use of texture & abuse of the card--Makes me wonder what it through to make it to it's final destination.
ReplyDeletelove the card - cannot wait to see where the story goes next! x
ReplyDeleteWat waanzinnig mooi getekend! ♥
ReplyDeleteEn trots op M. voor het weigeren van bezoeken van het stierengevecht! :)
Novel ideas and art!
ReplyDeleteI'm with M, too brutal for a tourist, love the artwork & look forward to the next instalment :)
ReplyDeleteGreat rendition of castenets!
ReplyDeleteGreat postcard! I'm glad M decided to skip on the bull figths.:)
ReplyDeleteLove your card, the subtle earthy tones colours on great natural card, really nice effect. Can't wait to hear more... M
ReplyDeletecould I possibly tell you the colors are super? Yes I can ditto all the above. Love the card and the angle
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments. I have to be honest, I'm fighting the paper a bit. I love the 'kraft paper' look, but at the same time it's a bit difficult to get the colours I want.
ReplyDeleteI did this in Stabilo sensor pen and Cotman watercolours. I had tested the Stabilo beforehand, and it did not bleed. Until of course I made the card... *sigh* But hey, just going with the flow.. ;)
As far as the beaten up look of the card.. welll... that might get explained as we get further into the story...
love this. color is beautiful and love your character standing up for herself.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoying the style of your card and looking forward to the story unfold xxx
ReplyDeleteI am having SO much trouble posting comments to Blogger sites...tried here yesterday and trying again today.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say your work here is wonderful. Thanks also for the Fountain Pen Revolution site link. I wonder what those prices are in British pounds.
Oh yes, and thank you for popping round to see my little bloggerty blog site. Next time I'll try to be in and have tea and cake ready.
